This restaurant without doubt serves the best Japanese food in Newcastle, I have been there several occasions and each time it just gets even better. Oh and there's the added bonus of eating out in the same restaurant as famous football stars.

We have regularly visited Hanahana over the years but never written about our experiences. This is in our opinion the BEST Japanese restaurant in Newcastle and we have visited many. Paul and his staff are fantastic. We have never had a disappointing meal. The Saturday lunchtime menu is a delight and a bargain. The surroundings are adequate but I visit a restaurant for the food and service not the wallpaper etc. Try the sushi and the teppanyaki menus. Awesome! Recommended by Anastie
My wife and I went for our wedding anniversary. Had a great night, food and staff were first class, only downside was the wait. We had booked for 9pm and did not get seated till 9.30pm. The atmosphere at the table was excellent everybody including the chef had a night to remember. Thoroughly recommended. Recommended by Lefthandmerc
I went here with my husband and friends and had the best night I've ever had in a restaurant, the food was the best I've tasted and the staff were great too, i will defo be going back again and again, it was fantastic. Recommended by Kat
Everytime I visit here I remember why I keep coming back, the staff are courteous and helpful, the food is well prepared and generous and the atmosphere makes a great evening. you can go as a couple for a meal with a difference or perfect for a celebration. Highly recommended. Recommended by Karin
